Paradigm Shift

“Man is all Imagination and God is Man and exists in us and we in him. The eternal body of Man is the Imagination and that is God Himself.”
William Blake
Something changed in me this weekend. Something profound and wonderful — and I suspect, permanent. Relatively speaking, the change happened in an instant, a flash, a ZING of energy zapping through the heart, imprinting on my consciousness a new awareness, an expansiveness of being. All at once, I understand why I am here. It is the same purpose that we all share.
It isn’t what I had previously convinced myself it was. I had constructed an entire life around myself based on a false paradigm, an illusion of reality pieced together from a life experience invented by (seemingly) others (see below). The thought I’ve been mulling over these past ten years or so finally organized into a true understanding. This understanding made it clear why I’ve been resistant to embracing the goals I’ve been chasing. It is because they were not my true goals. Let me enumerate:
  1. There is no such thing as Other.
There is no You, Me, Her, Him, They, We or Us. Each of us, every single one, is Divine creating itself, creating our world, our universe (uni=ONE), creating our reality. Do Unto Others as you would have done to you is to be taken literally. What you imagine someone else to be, you are imagining into your own experience. Because You ARE Them.
  2. There is no Higher Power “out there”.
No, I am most definitely not an atheist, at least not in the strict sense of the word. God/dess exists. Every breath you take, every thought you have, every thing of beauty (and horror) you create is all God. All that you do, all that you are, is God experiencing itself through your perspective. No other proof is needed for the existence of God. It’s within you. Just take a deep breath. There. You’ve just proven you exist. Therefore, God exists through you. You’re welcome.
  3. All that you need to experience the life you want exists within you.
All my life, I’ve relied on candles, mantras, tarot cards, runes, crystals, supplications, astrology charts, numerology, pendants and beads to direct my path. These are all beautiful tools that can offer reassurance if they resonate with you. I’m not a hypocrite. I still love my tarot cards, after all. But I have come to recognize that relying on these methods is to rely on something external to myself.  My goal here is to cut out the middle man and get us directly in touch with the true, authentic God that we actually are. So if you’re one of the tiny handful of people who have followed my blog so far, you might be wondering where all my tarot posts went. That brings me to my final point.
  4. You have created everything you’re experiencing.
And I mean everything. Remember that “higher power” I spoke of above? That higher power created you, AND you created it. “And God created the Heavens and the Earth.” Yes, that’s a bit of a brain bender, isn’t it? But you see, the Divine, which created absolutely everything, including the effed up situations you have found yourself in, that Divine is YOU. You did that. You created your life path. You chose your parents (what??), your name, your numerology. You selected what gemstones would speak to you. You decided whether you would like okra or not (I hate it). Everything that is happening to you or around you, right now, is a product of either your conscious or unconscious imaginal activities. You have done this many, many times, and in infinite timelines at once currently.
And you can change any of that any time you wish. THAT, my friends, is the path I’ve chosen for myself. By helping you do the same, I’m helping myself. That may sound selfish, but remember, there’s no such thing as “you” and “me”. I can’t even begin to describe how exciting, how life affirming and REAL that feels. Deleting the stuff that was no longer true for me… wow. What a feeling! And I’m not even finished yet!
Now, there are some basic laws of physics involved. Such as, humans can’t literally fly like sparrows just yet. You can’t live underwater without an oxygen tank or dome. You can’t reverse your age from 50 to perky 20 (oh, if only…). Maybe you can turn water into wine, though, and I’d love to see that if you can. I do love a good glass of Shiraz. But turning water into wine was only a metaphor anyway, which we’ll talk about later. Everything else is subject to your revision. I mean that. Everything. And you can do it without manipulating anyone, imposing your will, or making demands.
Anything Can Be Changed
Including, but not limited to, the following:
  • Relationships can be transformed from crisis to love.
  • You can switch your consciousness from an awareness of poverty to that of abundance, and watch your bank account grow accordingly.
  • You can perform magic in your life with no other tools than the one that resides between your ears (and it IS just a tool, no different than your legs being the tools that move you across the room).

I’ll wrap all this up with a quote from my teacher, the late mystic and New Thought pioneer Neville Goddard.

Only as one is willing to give up his present limitations and identity can he become that which he desires to be.

Give up your limitations, your crutches, your concept of Self as being separate from the so-called Other. Man is All Imagination, and from that imagination you can create a world full of peace, love, and abundance for yourself and everyone around you. This is our birthright as Divine experiencing itself in human form, creating itself in infinite variety. It is time to stop living at the mercy of our unconscious belief systems, and get out in front of our lives where we truly belong. Don’t wait for the planets to align before embracing your creative power. My life is far from perfect. At this very moment, I’m undergoing massive transitional change. But my life is beautiful, worth every creative imaginal thought I feed it — and yours is, too.

That is what Ascension is really all about, awakening the god within you, which is All Imagination, and true magic. Let’s do this.

In Love,

Miriam
